Together with the templates ( and ) it forms tables, if necessary more than one aside of each other. This is handy when breaking up what otherwise would be long listings, e.g. of derived verbs with prefixes or translations:

{{(}} *bla *bla *bla *bla *bla {{-}} *bla *bla *bla *bla *bla *bla {{)}}

Ok - we have conflict, so. This is used as a "hard break" template on Wikipedia, to prevent images from overflowing through paragraphs, etc. We can hard-code the breaks if needs be, if this is already taken by Wiktionary - Alison ^❤ 06:53, 20 Meán Fómhair 2007 (UTC)[reply]
